Radiologic Technologist

Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Night-focused 0.8 FTE schedule: four 12-hour night shifts per pay period plus two 8-hour PM or day shifts per pay period (biweekly rotation). Position floats to any of 7 clinic locations to provide coverage; night shift primary, with occasional PM/day coverage.
Hours per Week: 32
Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic exams with care and precision to support accurate clinical decisions
- Assess patients and develop optimal radiologic techniques tailored to each patient’s needs
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment while following safety and infection-control protocols
- Evaluate radiographic images for quality and diagnostic value, escalating concerns when appropriate
- Provide compassionate patient handling and education throughout the imaging process
- Complete minor clinic clerical duties to ensure smooth patient flow and documentation
- Float to assigned clinic locations as needed to provide reliable coverage during staff absences
- Collaborate with the medical imaging team and clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care
Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology program (required)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (required)
- Licensed by the State of Wisconsin (required)
- 0–2 years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting (required)
- Preferred: prior Radiologic Technologist experience
- Preferred: familiarity with Epic Ambulatory EMR, RIS and PACS
- Strong patient-handling skills and ability to work night shifts and float between clinics
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medical imaging fundamentals and radiography techniques
- Patient assessment and safe patient handling
- Image evaluation and quality assurance principles
- Anatomy, physiology and pathology relevant to diagnostic radiography
- Operation and basic troubleshooting of PACS and RIS systems
- Familiarity with Epic Ambulatory EMR workflows (preferred)
- Understanding of radiology physics and radiation safety
- Clinical documentation and minor clerical tasks related to imaging services
