Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional status and develop individualized treatment plans that produce measurable progress
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and gait training
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with nurses, aides, physicians, and rehabilitation team members to coordinate safe, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and discharge planning to support long-term outcomes
• Supervise and mentor PT assistants and aides to maintain high standards of care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to advance clinical practice and patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey (or ability to obtain before start)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy considered with required credentials
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Strong clinical judgment and effective documentation skills; 1+ year of clinical experience preferred
• Ability to work a schedule that includes weekends and provide reliable coverage

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; or Bachelor's in Physical Therapy with required licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and mobility/gait training
• Familiarity with assistive devices, orthotics, and adaptive equipment
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Strong communication and patient education skills for diverse populations
• Excellent time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Knowledge of safety protocols, infection control, and HIPAA compliance
