Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform PET and Nuclear Medicine scanning procedures for inpatients and outpatients with compassion and precision
- Prepare, handle, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals following strict radiation safety protocols
- Assess patients prior to procedures and monitor them during and after scanning to ensure safe, effective care
- Start and maintain peripheral IVs as needed for imaging procedures
- Document care accurately in EPIC and communicate effectively using SBAR with providers and interdisciplinary teams
- Support rapid response, pharmacy, and radiology teams as required to prioritize patient safety
- Operate and troubleshoot GE PET equipment and support the growth of a new service line with attention to quality
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years PET experience required, preferably in an adult/hospital setting
- Required certifications: BLS, CNMT, ARRT or NMTCB
- State License: Illinois (IL) required
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program required
- Demonstrated experience with GE imaging equipment required; Siemens experience preferred
- Competence in isolation precautions, starting/maintaining peripheral IVs, and safe handling/disposal of radioactive materials
- Comfortable with EPIC documentation and SBAR communication
Education
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging best practices
- Radiopharmaceutical preparation and radiation safety principles
- Patient assessment and safe patient handling
- Starting and maintaining peripheral IVs
- Experience with GE PET equipment (Siemens a plus)
- EPIC charting and SBAR communication
- Procedures such as HIDA, SPECT, Bone scans, MUGA, and Gastric Emptying
