Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, hands-on care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers to promote independence and prevent injury
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition accurately and promptly
• Communicate clearly with nurses and the care team to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Support residents' emotional needs with patience, respect, and kindness
• Document care and observations in charts or electronic records in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (must be in good standing)
• T-CNA credential if applicable or preferred for this facility
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
• Comfort with 12+ hour day shifts and weekend schedule
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and assisting with activities of daily living
• Competent at taking and documenting vital signs
• Familiarity with infection control and basic safety protocols
• Ability to use electronic health records or charting systems
• Good observation skills and ability to report clinical changes
• Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care and family updates
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs during busy shifts
