Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, hands-on care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers to promote independence and prevent injury
- Monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition accurately and promptly
- Communicate clearly with nurses and the care team to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Support residents' emotional needs with patience, respect, and kindness
- Document care and observations in charts or electronic records in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (must be in good standing)
- T-CNA credential if applicable or preferred for this facility
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
- Comfort with 12+ hour day shifts and weekend schedule
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in personal care and assisting with activities of daily living
- Competent at taking and documenting vital signs
- Familiarity with infection control and basic safety protocols
- Ability to use electronic health records or charting systems
- Good observation skills and ability to report clinical changes
- Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care and family updates
- Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs during busy shifts
