Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care: assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Perform accurate and timely vital signs and basic clinical observations, reporting concerns to the nursing team
- Document care and condition changes clearly and promptly in resident charts
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment while following infection control protocols
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to deliver person-centered care
- Promote resident dignity and independence by encouraging participation in daily routines
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- T-CNA or travel CNA experience is a strong plus
- Current basic competency in resident care and ADLs, with demonstrated reliability
- Ability to work overnight shifts and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Proof of required immunizations and any facility-mandated screenings
Education
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and high school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of ADLs, vital signs, and basic patient care
- Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
- Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn from clinical staff
