Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional mobility and create individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to maximize independence
• Collaborate with nursing and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility
• Assist with discharges and transitions of care to ensure continuity
• Adapt treatment approaches when floating between Starkville Manor and Winona Manor

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Mississippi or eligibility to obtain one promptly
• Valid BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable floating between facilities as noted in the assignment
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Prior experience in skilled nursing, outpatient, or inpatient rehab settings preferred

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's in related field considered with appropriate experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and gait training
• Skilled in patient assessment, progress measurement, and care planning
• Familiarity with common assistive devices and safe transfer techniques
• Experience with documentation in electronic medical records
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
