Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including medication administration and monitoring
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient status, and changes in condition
- Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
- Collaborate with RN and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
- Assist patients with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
- Contribute to a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and families to support their needs
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential required
- Travel LPN or T-LPN experience is a plus and fits this assignment well
- Active license to practice in the state of New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one
- Ability to work scheduled 12+ hour day shifts including weekends
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or practical nursing program; high school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical skills in medication administration, wound care basics, and patient assessment
- Comfortable taking and interpreting vital signs and reporting changes
- Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
- Basic knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety principles
- Good time management, prioritization, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
