Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ functional status and needs to create individualized OT plans
• Develop and implement meaningful therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document progress, modify treatment plans, and communicate outcomes clearly
• Educate patients and caregivers on strategies, adaptive equipment, and home programs
• Participate in care planning and discharge preparation to ensure smooth transitions
• Float between assigned centers as needed while maintaining high-quality care

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Maryland or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure
• NBCOT certification preferred or in progress
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience in rehabilitation, post-acute care, or outpatient settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Comfort with floating between centers and adapting to different clinical environments

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or OTD) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in functional, cognitive, and ADL-focused assessments
• Proficient with therapeutic modalities, adaptive equipment, and home program development
• Clear and timely documentation skills and familiarity with clinical charting
• Ability to teach patients and caregivers practical, evidence-based strategies
• Strong clinical reasoning, time management, and organizational abilities
• Comfort working in a fast-paced rehab/contract environment and adapting to varied caseloads
