Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and the care team to maintain high-quality patient outcomes
- Monitor patient status, report changes, and participate in care planning
- Educate patients and families about care plans and daily health routines
- Support a positive, safe environment by following facility policies and infection-control practices
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in good standing (New Mexico licensure preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification required (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Demonstrated clinical competency as an LPN in a long-term care or similar setting
- Comfortable working the listed schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
- Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic wound care skills
- Vital signs assessment and patient monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
- Infection control standards and safe patient handling
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changes in patient condition
- Compassionate bedside manner and effective patient/family communication
