Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6 shifts per 2-week period); specific start/end times vary by schedule and include weekends (rotating)

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to policy
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Document care and observations clearly in the medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care
- Support residents and families with clear communication and respectful education
- Follow infection control practices and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) — State of Hawaii license required by start of assignment (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Experience working in long-term care (LTC) settings is required
- Comfortable working 12-hour shift patterns
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Able to pass required background checks and facility onboarding
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program
- Active LPN licensure (State of Hawaii) required by assignment start
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of long-term care nursing practices and geriatric care
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Skilled in basic patient assessments and monitoring
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Good time management, prioritization, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and completing clear charting
