Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support under clinic protocols
- Assist with intake, vital signs, and basic clinical assessments
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for procedures and provider visits
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate clinical records
- Follow infection control, safety, and facility-specific procedures
- Communicate clearly with the care team and participate in orientation and trainings
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant required; Certified Nursing Assistant accepted as alternative
- Comfortable working in a correctional training facility environment
- Available to work Monday through Friday on the posted shift
- Willingness to attend required orientation
Education
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or CNA program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills such as taking vitals and patient preparation
- Clear and professional communication with patients and team members
- Accurate documentation and attention to detail
- Ability to follow policies and maintain safety and confidentiality
