Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered physical therapy evaluation, treatment planning, and interventions
- Deliver skilled care using evidence-based techniques to help patients regain function
- Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes clearly and timely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on home programs and safe recovery strategies
- Adapt treatment plans to meet changing patient needs and facility protocols
- Maintain professional licensure and participate in ongoing clinical education
Qualifications
- Current California Physical Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain promptly
- Previous clinical experience in outpatient, acute care, or rehab settings preferred
- Comfort working in a travel/contract environment and adapting to new sites
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and credentialing
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master's or Bachelor's in Physical Therapy considered
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise, and manual therapy techniques
- Proficient with clinical documentation and electronic health records
- Knowledge of rehabilitation principles across diagnoses and age groups
- Ability to prioritize caseloads and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient and team collaboration
