Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' functional mobility and design individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to restore movement and reduce pain
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to meet goals
- Educate patients and families on home programs and safe functional strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and compliance
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in California required
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- Experience in rehabilitation or outpatient settings preferred
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Valid professional liability insurance if required by facility
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and functional mobility
- Familiar with common modalities and assistive device training
- Strong clinical reasoning and goal-oriented treatment planning
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and thorough documentation
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
