Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams using GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 systems to produce diagnostic images
• Provide compassionate patient care and education, ensuring comfort and safety throughout exams
• Collaborate with Tech Aides and fellow MRI technologists — the role is team-based and you will not work solo
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment, follow magnetic safety protocols, and escalate issues when needed
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in Meditech Expanse
• Respond to on-call requests and provide overnight coverage as required
• Participate in orientation and maintain up-to-date competency records and certifications

Qualifications

• ARRT (MR) certification — required
• Minimum 2 years current Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) experience — required
• Experience with GE MRI equipment (HDXT 16.0 and 23.0) — required
• Active BLS (AHA) certification — required
• Meditech Expanse experience — highly preferred
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and take call as needed
• Own reliable vehicle and provide permanent address on profile (facility will NOT consider travelers who reside within 50 miles of facility)
• Supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment — required

Education

• Education not explicitly specified in posting; ARRT (MR) certification and BLS (AHA) are required. Completion of an accredited radiologic/MRI program is typically expected.

• Strong knowledge of MRI safety, procedures, and patient screening
• Proficiency with GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 systems and MRI imaging protocols
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse for documentation and charting
• Excellent patient positioning and image acquisition skills (ratio ~9 patients/shift)
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based MRI workflow
• Clear communication, attention to detail, and reliable on-call responsiveness
