Shift Type: Night shifts, 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (typically 3 shifts/week — 36 hours/week). Night shift; nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:5, possible 1:7 on nights.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Formulate, implement, and revise individualized plans of care based on patient responses and outcomes
• Coordinate and supervise patient care activities across the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective care
• Perform thorough patient assessments and recognize/report abnormal findings to inform the plan of care
• Provide patient and family education and lead discharge planning to support safe transitions home
• Accurately document all patient care activities in EPIC, including wound assessments, medication administration, and progress toward goals
• Delegate tasks appropriately to team members while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes
• Prioritize and organize workload to manage a high-acuity, 19-bed unit serving pediatric through geriatric patients

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN (must be uploaded at time of submission; facility will not pend license)
• Minimum 3+ years current Medical-Surgical nursing experience (required)
• Previous travel nursing experience — at least 6 months (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS (required) and ACLS (required)
• EPIC EMR experience (required)
• Must have own vehicle and permanent address included in profile
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years (required)
• Current work history and Medical-Surgical skills checklist (pertinent items current to 1 year) included in profile
• Include any requested time-off (RTO) at submission; scheduling requests made after submission or at/after offer may not be approved

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment across pediatric to geriatric populations
• Expertise in Medical-Surgical nursing practices and care planning
• Proficient documentation skills in EPIC and attention to detail for flow sheets and assessment forms
• Wound assessment and management experience
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate in a dynamic inpatient setting
• Experience with telemetry/progressive care preferred
• Effective patient education and discharge planning skills
• Comfort functioning autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
