Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering patient care across the lifespan — from newborns to end-of-life support
• Implement therapeutic exercise and stretching programs to help patients regain strength and mobility
• Perform safe patient transfers (wheelchair/walker to therapy area) and teach transfer techniques
• Collaborate closely with the PT to collect treatment data and modify care plans as needed
• Educate patients and families on at-home techniques and balance training to extend gains beyond the clinic
• Maintain a clean, organized therapy area and uphold infection control best practices
• Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and accurate documentation to keep care coordinated

Qualifications

• PTA license (required)
• Missouri state license — Compact allowed (state licensure required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of PT experience (required)
• Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation (required)
• Comfortable working in scrubs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication skills for working with patients and families
