Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adults in the assigned unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and create clear, actionable care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns when appropriate
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the facility’s electronic health record
• Support unit initiatives for quality improvement and patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — Maryland licensure preferred or eligible to obtain
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Clinical experience in hospital or long-term care settings is a plus
• Strong assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; dependable and patient-centered

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
• LPN applicants should have an accredited practical nursing diploma or certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing assessment, clinical interventions and patient safety
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage a varied patient load
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and team collaboration
