Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with daily living activities for geriatric patients
Assist with mobility, transfers and safe patient positioning to promote dignity and comfort
Monitor and record basic vital signs and observe changes in patient condition
Document care activities accurately and communicate observations to nursing staff
Support mealtime assistance and ensure proper feeding and hydration
Foster a safe, respectful and home-like environment for residents

Qualifications

GNA certification (required)
Current state certification or credential relevant to Geriatric Nursing Assistants
Experience working with geriatric or long-term care patients preferred
Comfortable with patient lifting/transfers and basic activities of daily living
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

Completion of a Geriatric Nursing Assistant program or equivalent credential
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Familiarity with documentation best practices in long-term care settings
Strong observational skills to notice changes in patient status
Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication with residents and families
Teamwork and time-management skills to support shift flow
