Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department protocols and regulatory standards
• Operate fluoroscopy and diagnostic imaging equipment safely and effectively
• Process and transmit quality images to PACS and ensure image integrity
• Serve as the first-line clinical interface with patients and care teams — deliver compassionate, clear communication
• Participate actively in PI/QC activities to maintain high imaging standards
• Ensure compliance with HFAP/TJC/CMS, state and federal regulations at all times
• Maintain accurate records, complete required checklists and pass core competency testing

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
• ARRT-R certification (required)
• BCLS (AHA) current
• Must obtain fluoroscopy permit (CDPH) within 6 months of hire
• Must obtain venipuncture certification within 3 months of hire
• Graduate of a JRCERT- or ABHES-accredited radiologic technology program
• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
• Proficient computer skills and experience with PACS image processing/transmission

Education

• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy expertise
• PACS image processing and transmission
• Venipuncture and DCI/BVP knowledge
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (HFAP/TJC/CMS, state and federal)
• PI/QC processes and quality assurance activities
• Familiarity with infection control, documentation, and patient safety practices
