Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care during night shifts to stabilize, treat, and discharge or arrange transfer for emergent patients
• Triage, assess, and manage patients in a fast-paced ED environment using evidence-based practice
• Float to Med/Surg and Stepdown units as needed and assist with patient care across these areas
• Serve as backup critical access charge support when required, assisting with unit flow and patient assignments
• Collaborate with ED providers, technicians, and transport services to coordinate rapid transfers when higher-level care is needed
• Maintain accurate documentation, complete required checklists, and ensure all licenses and certifications are current at submission and throughout assignment

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in New Hampshire (Compact allowed) and ability to provide license verification
• Minimum 2 years current Emergency Room experience (required)
• Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital (highly preferred)
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS (required)
• Current TNCC certification (required)
• Willingness to float to Med/Surg and Stepdown and care for Stepdown patients
• One supervisory signed reference from the past year (required)
• Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility (NO LOCALS) and included in submission
• Must be able to start by 2026-04-02

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing and triage expertise
• Med/Surg and Stepdown bedside skills for cross-coverage
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients and initiate transfers when appropriate
• Familiarity with critical access hospital workflows and resource-limited settings
• Strong communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary ED staff and transport partners
• Competence with standard emergency certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
