Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality labor and delivery nursing care, monitoring mothers and infants throughout labor
• Assist in and circulate for C-sections and support scrub/OR roles as needed
• Manage high-acuity scenarios including IV magnesium drips and other critical infusions
• Perform antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum assessments and documentation using Meditech/CPN
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support Level III NICU transfers and care coordination
• Support triage functions in OB triage rooms and contribute to patient flow and safety
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery and postpartum care with empathy and clarity
• Adapt to floating assignments within the women’s and children’s service line as unit needs require

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of practice required)
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor & Delivery or high-acuity OB nursing
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate preferred
• Experience with scrub and circulating roles in the OR is helpful
• Comfortable with Meditech and CPN documentation systems
• Ability to float within the women’s and children’s service line and adapt to a fast-paced unit

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fetal monitoring and intrapartum assessment skills
• Experience with C-sections, epidurals and spinal procedures
• Competence managing IV drips including magnesium sulfate
• Familiarity with high-acuity maternal and newborn care and Level III NICU exposure
• OR scrub and circulating skills for obstetric procedures
• Excellent clinical documentation using Meditech/CPN and effective interdisciplinary communication
