Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to older adults while preserving dignity
- Monitor residents and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
- Document care thoroughly and accurately in resident records
- Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate effectively with residents, families and the interdisciplinary care team
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Class: GNA) — required
- Eligibility to work in Maryland and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Ability to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift
- Comfort working with geriatric populations and demonstrating compassion
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care skills and comfort assisting with ADLs
- Good observational skills to notice and report changes in residents
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families and teammates
- Ability to document care accurately and follow care plans
- Teamwork mindset and reliability during evening shift coverage
