Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to NVICU patients, managing complex medical and neurological needs
• Monitor and manage invasive lines and ICU equipment, including arterial lines and central lines
• Assist with and support airway management and intubation when needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Maintain safe patient ratios and prioritize interventions to ensure optimal outcomes
• Participate in unit policies, contribute to a positive team environment, and support peers during high-acuity situations

Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse) — NVICU experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care experience (explicitly required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus
• Experience or comfort caring for oncology or neuro patients is preferred
• Team-player attitude: accountable, caring, and ready to collaborate

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care and ICU nursing skills
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system
• Competence with central line and arterial line monitoring and care
• Experience with ventilator management and airway support (intubation support)
• Comfort working in a 2:1 patient ratio environment and using standard ICU equipment
• Awareness of EVD patient care considerations (core staff involvement noted)
