Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established care plans
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate effectively with nurses, residents, and families to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
• Current state-required credentials for practice in New Mexico
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts and providing direct resident care
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
• Good charting and documentation practices
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork skills
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
