Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients with complex needs
• Assess and monitor hemodynamics, ventilators, CRRT and intracranial pressure devices
• Perform and assist with procedures such as central line, arterial line and chest tube insertions
• Document accurately and efficiently in Cerner EMR to maintain continuity of care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered plans
• Recognize and respond to clinical changes quickly to improve patient outcomes
• Mentor and support colleagues while contributing to a safe, team-oriented unit culture

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (state license or compact where applicable)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU/critical care experience (trauma or surgical ICU strongly preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS (required)
• Experience with CRRT, EVD, arterial/CVC lines and ventilator management
• Comfortable with Cerner EMR documentation
• TNCC or ATCN certifications a plus
• Strong teamwork, communication and critical thinking skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
• Ongoing professional development in critical care nursing encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced critical care assessment and monitoring
• Management of hemodynamics, ventilators and CRRT
• Familiarity with Camino ICP, EVD and Wound VAC devices
• Proficiency in central line, arterial line and chest tube care
• Accurate clinical documentation in Cerner
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
