Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality progressive care to telemetry and step-down patients, delivering compassionate bedside nursing
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data to identify changes in patient status and escalate concerns promptly
• Use Cerner to document assessments, interventions and care plans accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure safe transitions
• Manage quick turnover and short-stay patients while maintaining excellent patient experience and safety
• Assist with unit needs by floating to other areas as required, contributing to a flexible, team-first environment
• Support positive patient ratios and safe staffing by communicating needs and advocating for patients

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state-specific licensure typically required for travel roles)
• Minimum 2 years progressive care/telemetry nursing experience (Experience: 2)
• Telemetry competency is required — demonstrated comfort with bedside monitors and cardiac rhythms
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Experience with Cerner or similar EMR preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend as required and float to other units when needed
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered mindset
