Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to acute care patients using evidence-based protocols
• Perform ventilator management, ABG analysis, and respiratory assessments with accuracy
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to create and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and home-care strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, calibrated, and ready for safe patient use

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist license in Georgia or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• CRT or RRT credential preferred; RRT strongly preferred where required
• BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS and PALS a plus
• Prior acute care or hospital respiratory experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working in fast-paced environments
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and any required background checks

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or completion of an accredited respiratory care program
• Completion of required clinical training and credentialing (CRT/RRT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with ventilators, airway management, and oxygen therapy
• Skilled in arterial blood gas interpretation and respiratory diagnostics
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with infection control and hospital safety protocols
• Team-oriented mindset and effective interdisciplinary communication
