Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to assigned patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor clinical status throughout shifts
Administer medications and treatments safely and document all care accurately
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
Maintain clear, timely charting in the facility electronic health record

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) — current active licensure appropriate for practice
Experience or strong background in Medical-Surgical nursing
Ability to work 12.5-hour clinical shifts as required by the unit
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills; reliable and professional

Education

Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
Skilled in patient assessment, monitoring, and clinical documentation
Comfortable with medication administration and common nursing procedures
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting
