Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective perioperative nursing care across all patient populations in the operating room
• Act as a patient advocate by assessing needs, developing nursing diagnoses, and implementing patient-centered care plans
• Maintain and model strict sterile technique to uphold surgical standards and patient safety
• Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments and timely reassessments, including pediatric and geriatric patients
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, NAs, physicians, and ancillary staff to coordinate seamless perioperative care
• Assess and manage pain effectively using appropriate pain management strategies
• Organize workload, set priorities, and integrate multiple assignments while supporting the team

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program (required)
• Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license (required)
• BSN preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative standards
• Strong communication skills and commitment to teamwork
• Completed departmental orientation or willing to complete on-boarding training

Education

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program (required)
• BSN preferred

• Perioperative nursing and operating room procedures
• Sterile technique and infection prevention
• Patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, and care planning
• Age-specific care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Pain assessment and management techniques
• Ability to prioritize, organize workload, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
