Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Assess patient condition and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor patients for changes and escalate concerns promptly
• Document patient care and progress clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning
• Participate in unit quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or eligibility to practice in New Hampshire
• Experience or strong interest in Medical-Surgical nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
• Excellent clinical assessment and patient care skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to work 12.5-hour shift patterns typical for Med/Surg units

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Patient assessment, vital sign interpretation, and clinical judgment
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation
• Strong prioritization, time management, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment
