Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and perform thorough assessments to identify functional needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that make daily life easier
Provide skilled OT interventions using evidence-based techniques
Document progress and outcomes clearly and timely in the patient record
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
Educate patients and families to empower independence and safe function
Participate in orientation and training activities to support a strong start

Qualifications

Current state occupational therapy license required
NBCOT certification preferred or in-progress applicants welcome
Current Basic Life Support CPR certification
Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records
Background check and immunization verification required per facility policy

Education

Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) preferred
Entry-level master or equivalent in occupational therapy required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills for functional outcomes
Skilled in therapeutic interventions for ADLs, fine motor and adaptive equipment
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Ability to collaborate effectively with nurses, PTs, physicians and families
Time management and documentation skills to keep caseloads organized
