Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Varied schedule — 4-hour OT shifts (start times vary), days vary; orientation required; shifts are not guaranteed

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered occupational therapy interventions to support functional independence
Assess patient needs and create individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
Collaborate with nursing and rehab teams to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
Document interventions and progress clearly and timely in the patient record
Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home programs, and safety
Participate in orientation and training to maintain high-quality standards of care

Qualifications

Licensed Occupational Therapist in California (or eligible to obtain state licensure)
Registered/Certified OTR or equivalent credential preferred
Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification
Comfortable working in a skilled nursing / rehabilitation environment
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Flexible availability for short 4-hour OT shifts and orientation sessions

Education

Master’s in Occupational Therapy or Entry-level OTD required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in ADL/IADL training and adaptive equipment recommendations
Knowledge of assessment tools and documentation best practices
Ability to develop measurable, evidence-based treatment plans
Excellent clinical reasoning and patient education skills
Comfortable with fast-paced clinical environments and variable schedules
