Roles & Responsibilities

Assist clinical staff with patient intake and basic clinical tasks to keep care moving smoothly
Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment and supplies are ready for each patient
Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories and other preliminary information
Support clinical procedures under supervision while maintaining a safe, sterile environment
Communicate clearly with patients and families to provide compassionate, respectful care
Coordinate with providers and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow

Qualifications

Medical Assistant certification preferred or equivalent clinical experience
Current basic life support (BLS) certification encouraged
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient-facing interactions
Comfortable with clinical documentation and basic EHR usage
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required, Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of routine clinical procedures and infection control practices
Skill in taking vitals and performing basic patient assessments
Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical charting
Team-oriented mindset with adaptability in a fast-paced clinic setting
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
