Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on occupational therapy care that helps patients regain independence and confidence
Assess patient function and create individualized treatment plans grounded in best practices
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and maximize outcomes
Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, equipment use, and home programs
Document progress clearly and timely to support continuity of care
Participate in orientation and onboarding activities to integrate quickly with the facility team

Qualifications

Valid Occupational Therapy license in California (or eligibility to obtain one)
Entry-level or experienced clinicians welcome; ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic life support (BLS) certification; additional certifications (e.g., pediatric specialization) a plus
Comfortable with documentation and collaborative care planning
Professional, compassionate approach to working with patients of varied abilities

Education

Master's degree or Doctorate (OTD) in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent professional education

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
Knowledge of adaptive equipment and home safety recommendations
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic health records
Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing, PT, and other allied health staff
