Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist patients with mobility, bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding with dignity and respect
- Monitor and document vital signs and resident condition accurately and promptly
- Communicate concerns and changes in resident condition to the nursing team in a timely manner
- Support care plans by carrying out assigned tasks and documenting interventions clearly
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures consistently
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through clear, kind communication
- Participate in ongoing training and team huddles to continuously improve resident care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass required background checks and immunizations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a compassionate bedside manner
- Reliable attendance and the ability to perform physical aspects of the role
- Previous CNA experience preferred but new CNAs who are eager to learn are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and assistance with ADLs
- Vital sign measurement and accurate documentation
- Basic infection control practices and PPE use
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes to clinical staff
- Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
- Respectful communication with residents, families, and the care team
