Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, making each day safer and more comfortable
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Support implementation of individualized care plans and document care accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team to deliver coordinated care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
- Compassionate caregiver mindset with good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic skills in taking vital signs, transferring and positioning residents, and charting care
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain if required by facility
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care best practices
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Comfortable with charting and following care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
- Attention to detail and dependable time management
