Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes weekend rotations (4 weekend shifts per 4-week block)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients with diverse conditions
Perform patient assessments, wound care, tracheostomy and ostomy management
Manage drains, chest tubes, and monitor for stroke and seizure patients
Administer medications including heparin drips and PCA pumps
Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure positive patient outcomes
Conduct bedside shift reports and safety checks to enhance patient experience

Qualifications

Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
At least 2 years of recent Med Surg experience
BLS certification from AHA required
NIHSS certification required
Ability to float to other units as needed
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
Experienced in wound care, ostomy, and drain management
Comfortable with chest tubes and post-op surgical care
Proficient in Meditech documentation system
Knowledgeable in fall prevention and HAI prevention protocols
