Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), every 3rd weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to MedSurg and ER patients, from swing bed to critical/trauma
Titrate medications, start IVs, manage PICC/Ports, and respond to codes and traumas
Perform EKG interpretation and document rhythms using Mindray monitors
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients, ensuring smooth transitions
Collaborate with a small team including CNA and hospitalists, and communicate directly for patient care
Float between MedSurg and ER as needed, adapting quickly to varying acuity

Qualifications

Must have current RN license in Minnesota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Emergency Department experience is a must
Comfortable working independently with minimal staff
Ability to titrate drips and manage high-acuity patients

Knowledge & Skills

Admission/Discharge/Transfer procedures
Medication titration and IV start
PICC/Port management
Code and trauma response
EKG interpretation
Proficient in Meditech EMR
