Location: Kearney, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts, 0630-1830 and 1830-0630, self-scheduling with cyclic rotation, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to patients recovering from total joint replacements (knee, hip, ankle, shoulder) and spine surgeries
Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage pain protocols
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge planning
Float to MedSurg, rehab, or PCU as needed, maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS certification (AHA)
Valid driver's license (required for distance verification)
Minimum of 1 year MedSurg experience preferred
Strong team player with a flexible and adaptable attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in post-operative care for orthopedic patients
Ability to titrate pain medications and manage IV drips
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in using telemetry monitoring systems
Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement
