Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating days

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor, delivery, and postpartum patients
Circulate in C-section suites and assist during deliveries
Monitor fetal heart rates using FetalLink system and interpret tracings
Triage incoming patients and manage up to 4 triage beds plus overflow
Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and neonatologists for optimal outcomes
Float to postpartum or NICU as needed to care for grower/feeders

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of recent L&D/PP experience
Active RN license in California or compact state
Prior travel contract experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring (AWOHNN) certification required
C-section circulating experience required; scrubbing not necessary

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR and FetalLink monitoring
Strong understanding of AWOHNN staffing guidelines
Ability to manage high-risk deliveries and substance-exposed newborns
Comfortable with bilingual patients (Spanish helpful)
Telemetry and basic ventilator knowledge a plus
