Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents during the night shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform timely assessments and document changes in resident status
- Collaborate with nursing colleagues and facility staff to coordinate care
- Maintain clear, professional documentation and handoffs for continuity
- Support infection control practices and maintain a safe environment
- Respond calmly and effectively to urgent situations and emergencies
- Engage residents and families with respect, dignity, and clear communication
Qualifications
- Valid LPN or RN license appropriate for practice in Massachusetts
- Current, active licensure in good standing (LPN or RN)
- Comfort working independently on per-diem night shifts
- Ability to provide required verifications (license, immunizations, background checks) as requested
Education
- Graduation from an accredited practical or registered nursing program (as applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong resident assessment and clinical observation skills
- Accurate medication administration and documentation abilities
- Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
- Good time management and ability to prioritize in a busy setting
- Commitment to resident-centered care and professional standards
