Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform routine assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
- Assist with activities of daily living and ensure a safe, clean patient environment
- Support interdisciplinary team rounds and follow individualized care plans
- Deliver clear and respectful patient/family education about care and recovery
- Respond calmly and effectively to urgent situations, escalating when needed
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Massachusetts (or eligible to obtain one)
- Clinical experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar settings preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- For RNs: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (if applying as RN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid medication administration and documentation skills
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and charting
- Good clinical assessment and observation abilities
- Infection control, wound care basics, and safety-conscious practice
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize in a busy setting
- Collaborative approach to working with nurses, therapists, and support staff
