Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents during night shifts
• Perform timely assessments and document patient status in the EMR
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow care plans
• Monitor changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate records, support safe handoffs, and ensure continuity of care
• Support residents with activities of daily living and promote dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Current and valid Massachusetts LPN or RN license
• BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS if applicable to your role
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing is a plus
• Comfortable working night shifts and functioning independently
• Strong communication skills and commitment to resident-centered care
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required screenings

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
• RN: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Patient assessment and recognition of clinical changes
• Wound care basics and infection control principles
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork during busy shifts
• Respectful, empathetic interpersonal skills with residents and families
