Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor resident condition, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support rehabilitation goals
- Maintain clean, safe care environments and follow infection control protocols
- Educate residents and families with clear, respectful communication
- Contribute to a positive culture by mentoring peers and sharing best practices
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license in Massachusetts required
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required per facility policy
- Prior experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred
- Comfort working night shifts and independently managing patient assignments
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- LPN: Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and hands-on nursing skills
- Medication administration and IV/PO competency as applicable
- Experience with charting and electronic health records
- Good prioritization and time management during busy night shifts
- Understanding of rehab goals, wound care, and basic restorative nursing
- Ability to build rapport with residents and family members
