Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a skilled nursing setting
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document per facility policy
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the care team promptly
- Support activities of daily living and promote resident independence
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times
- Contribute to a positive care environment and support resident dignity
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in Massachusetts required
- BLS/CPR certification required (or obtain upon hire, depending on facility policy)
- Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and compassionate
- Ability to pass background checks, health screenings, and required onboarding
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program; LPN/LVN diploma or certificate required
- Registered Nurse (RN) applicants with appropriate credentials may also be considered for related openings
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and restorative nursing skills
- Resident assessment and early recognition of clinical changes
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Time management, organization, and effective communication
