Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care and daily assessments
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document patient care, observations, and changes in condition in the chart
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow care plans
- Support residents with activities of daily living and promote independence
- Monitor and report changes in resident status to nursing leadership and providers
- Practice infection control standards to maintain a safe environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Massachusetts (RN candidates should hold an active RN license)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Prior experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehab preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, professional, and committed to resident dignity and quality care
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or accredited nursing program for RN candidates
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate documentation
- Basic patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Wound care fundamentals and pressure injury prevention
- Infection prevention and safe clinical practice
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
