Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents during the night shift
- Monitor, assess, and document resident conditions and changes
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and follow individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergency situations with professionalism
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation to support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active LPN license (position open to LPNs; RN candidates may also be considered depending on role)
- Recent experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings a plus
- Ability to work the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift reliably
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
Education
- LPN diploma or certificate required (RN education applicable if applying as RN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable with medication administration and accurate charting
- Skilled at resident assessments, vital signs, and care reporting
- Familiarity with long-term care and rehabilitation nursing practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm approach in emergencies
- Ability to follow care plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
