Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality direct nursing care to residents
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Assess resident condition and communicate changes promptly to the team
- Document care thoroughly to support continuity and compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to create individualized care plans
- Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity
- Participate in facility infection control and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts (or eligible to obtain)
- OR current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts if applying as RN
- Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or required based on facility policy)
- Prior long-term care or rehab nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program (or RN diploma/associate for RN applicants)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures, medication administration, and wound care
- Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic charting
- Ability to assess changes in resident condition and escalate appropriately
- Skilled at building rapport with residents and working in interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and organizational skills for per diem shift work
