Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside nursing care for residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Perform focused assessments and escalate changes in condition promptly
- Document care clearly and timely in the facility’s medical record system
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow individualized care plans
- Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and handling acuity changes
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN)
- For RN applicants: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and recognition of common geriatric conditions
- Medication administration and basic pharmacology knowledge
- Wound care and skilled nursing procedures common in rehab settings
- Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Infection control, safety protocols, and patient handling techniques
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
