Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care for residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Perform focused assessments and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Document care clearly and timely in the facility’s medical record system
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow individualized care plans
• Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and handling acuity changes

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN)
• For RN applicants: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and recognition of common geriatric conditions
• Medication administration and basic pharmacology knowledge
• Wound care and skilled nursing procedures common in rehab settings
• Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Infection control, safety protocols, and patient handling techniques
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
