Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patients, document changes, and communicate concerns to the care team
- Perform wound care, vital signs checks, and routine nursing procedures
- Collaborate with nursing staff and allied professionals to support resident well-being
- Support transitions of care with clear, timely documentation and handoffs
Qualifications
- Current LPN license for Massachusetts (required)
- Active basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a team-first attitude
- Ability to work independently on night shifts and manage workload effectively
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (or equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Comfortable with electronic charting and concise clinical documentation
- Familiarity with infection control standards and patient safety practices
- Good assessment skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
